Vectis Passenger Systems Ukraine LLC and Trainvac GmbH have signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) for cooperation. The document marks the next step in forming an international technology partnership network for the development of EasyTop™. Both parties have confirmed the exchange of the signed document.

German expertise for a new passenger product

Trainvac GmbH is a German company specialising in the engineering and integration of sanitary systems for the global railway market. Its product scope includes vacuum toilets, toilet cabin modules, door systems, fresh- and waste-water tanks, water supply and electronic control systems.

Trainvac’s capabilities cover the full engineering cycle: requirements management, design, prototyping, testing, validation and system integration. This experience is particularly relevant to a programme in which the passenger interior and onboard utility systems must be developed as interconnected parts of a specific rail vehicle.

From spatial architecture to an integrated solution

EasyTop™ is a patented passenger-space architecture featuring two functional levels within the existing vehicle gauge. The upper level forms a separate passenger area, while the layout supports daytime, overnight and combined operating scenarios. The objective is to use space more efficiently and improve privacy and travel comfort.

Further development of EasyTop™ requires adaptation to a specific vehicle model, alignment of interfaces with onboard systems and comprehensive validation. The target is an interior kit prepared for industrial application.

Within the Vectis group, Vectis Passenger Systems Ukraine coordinates operational implementation of the programme and cooperation with technology partners. Vectis Mobility Group Ukraine is responsible for strategy, partnership development and capital engagement.

The next stage

The LOI records Trainvac’s interest in cooperation on sanitary systems and establishes a basis for further technical work. The detailed scope of work and commercial terms will be agreed separately by the parties.

The agreement also makes it possible to present Trainvac as part of the prospective EasyTop™ technology-partner team in further dialogue with railway operators. The next steps include clarifying operator requirements, identifying a target vehicle model and progressing to defined adaptation and integration tasks.

Signing the LOI with Trainvac is a step from presenting the EasyTop™ concept towards building the team required for its practical implementation.
Status of the arrangement: the LOI records the parties’ intentions and the direction of further cooperation. It does not replace a separate engineering or commercial agreement defining scope, timing, rights and financial terms.
