The creation of the Vectis structure marks the next step in moving EasyTop™ from a patented technical concept and research project towards a standalone engineering and industrial platform.

EasyTop™ introduces a two-level passenger-space arrangement with 19 two-person compartments, 38 sleeping berths and 56 daytime seats. Ukrainian Patent UA 123013 C2 is owned by Dr. Igor Telychko.

Planned corporate model

Vectis Mobility Group Ukraine LLC has been established as the group’s controlling company. It is intended to coordinate corporate strategy, development of the EasyTop™ brand, the agreements required for the use of the technology, investor engagement and international partnerships.

Vectis Passenger Systems Ukraine is intended to develop as the operating company for EasyTop™ in Ukraine. Its planned functions include engineering development, creation of a functional demonstrator, technical documentation, conformity assessment, manufacturing cooperation and dialogue with railway operators and rolling-stock manufacturers.

IBT GmbH is considered an adviser for international development, manufacturing cooperation and expansion into external markets.

The presented brand architecture reflects the planned specialist directions Vectis Passenger Systems, Vectis Vacuum Systems and Vectis Rail Integration. Their detailed functions, legal form and sequence of launch will be determined separately as the respective projects develop.

The exact scope of technology use rights and the relationships between the participants will be defined in the relevant corporate, licensing and other agreements.

Why EasyTop™ needs a separate corporate structure

The Vectis group is intended to provide a clear framework for the development of the project, separate it from the founders’ other activities and establish an independent platform for investment, partnerships and industrial cooperation.

Through this structure, Vectis plans to:

  • raise financing for a demonstrator and conformity assessment;
  • contract engineering and technology partners;
  • coordinate the adaptation of HVAC, electrical, sanitary and other vehicle systems;
  • engage component suppliers and rolling-stock manufacturers;
  • build a contractual model for the use of the technology;
  • create operating or project companies for different markets;
  • support international scaling of EasyTop™.

Next stage

The next stage is expected to focus on contractual formalisation of the corporate and IP model, detailed engineering, engagement of technology partners, development of a functional demonstrator and preparation for independent conformity assessment.

Vectis aims to transform EasyTop™ from a patented concept into a validated passenger solution suitable for integration and serial application in railway transport.
